I bought the rifle from SARCO for $900.00; fully assembled and head spaced. This is a cast receiver made by James River and looks to be cleanly milled and fits the stock tightly.

I was taking my time firing my M14 but I saw a bit of smoke billowing from the had guard so I thought my hand guard was burning. I used the hand guard clip removal tool and took my walnut handguard off.
