Slip the handle onto the other end of the rope, and slide the handle to within an inch of the outside of the housing. Tie off that end of the rope with a single knot. Cut off the excess rope. Screw the starter housing back onto the engine housing. If you had to remove the gas tank, replace it by reversing the procedure you used to remove it.
