The Elite 80 uses a vacuum line attached to a nipple in the intake on one end and the petcock on the other to draw fuel into the carb. Make sure this vacuum line has no cracks and is firmly attached on both ends or the petcock will not deliver fuel properly. The petcock itself is also prone to failure with age since it uses that vacuum diaphragm.
