Okay slightly different situation now after using a different save. I think it had to do with using my manual save rather than an autosave (? maybe?). Rupees still work and my items are intact, except for the weapon I tried to edit. Only changes were rupees 200 -> 4200 and Iron Sledgehammer -> Fierce Deity Sword Before After Edits and CEMU

NOTE: I used HxD hex editor to edit the sav file and replaced the mounted weapons' IDs with Bow of Light and Master Sword IDs. Theres a really good save editor for botw that lets you get any item, can get all seeds n stuff.
