The Prawn can get stuck on perfectly flat ground while out of the water in alien facilities. The collision physics were very broken in that regard when I was playing last year. For me once I got a feel for moving around with the prawn suit and grapple arm, it became my primary submersible for any deep missions. it's also much easier to dock in the cyclops using the grapple. Early on with prawn suit it has less value but as you progress it is important.
