Drive the vehicle at speeds above 10 MPH for at least 10 minutes. 3. The VDC OFF indicator should go off. If this does not work the truck should be checked by a technician. The simplest thing to do is to take it back to the dealer. My 2008 Xterra had the VDC/slip light on when it was delivered. Just took it back the next day and they fixed it. Not really sure what the problem was. They said the steering angle detector (or something like that) had to be re-adjusted and the computer had to be reset.
