As said, the 241Kxxx is the SN and that dates the gun to early 1982. The -2 after M66 in the model number indicates the second engineering change, which occurred in 1982 and lasted until 1986 when the -3 was released. The Model 66 was initially released in 1970. I would guess by the serial that the gun does not have a trigger guard screw (front of the trigger guard). S&W has made millions of them (still in production) starting in 1899. Your serial number range is 1973- 1974. The 2 inch model 10 was made in a square grip and a round grip. The round grip is best for carry, but the square grip fits my hand better for shooting.
