After more investigations it turns out that sounds problem exists only when the Window output is set to AMD HDMI Sound device. No solution to make it work yet. Will try to update the driver later. The audio was functioning perfectly normally on game version 2.01, but after updating to 2.17 I encountered these problems. edit: Enabling 'accurate xfloat' brings back all audio, but also makes all audio stutter (only during races). Combining this with disabling SPU loop detection makes the audio stutter, but not nearly as often.

Somtimes, e.g. in Ratchet and Clank a crack in time, the SPU relaxed setting can cause animation issues but mostly it seems to work. Wrt. I've found that switching the shader mode to legacy, turn off SPU loop detection, and turn on lower SPU thread priority gets the game to simultaneously runs better and disables most of the audio stuttering in most sports games, not just NCAA 14.
