Apr 24, 2021 · Hi been to my local dealer to look at the benelli M2 and the franchi affinity the franchi is a lot less money than the benelli, but the chap said they are literally the same gun, same factory, same parts etc etc it’s just the benelli feels a lot different to me, feels like it swings better maybe it’s just the forend etc it is a budget Performance Shop M2. many of the same improvements----big bolt release button, big bolt handle, enlarged loading port. just a fantastic setup. can't comment on function but I'm shocked the BBF family allowed such trick features on one of their cheapest autos when they charge a major premium for them on the Benelli guns.Dec 16, 2022 · It has a much better recoil pad on it and I also like how the trigger is easier to reach. The Franchi just has a little more distance between the grip and the trigger. One other difference is the forearm is slimmer on the m2, but I have zero issues with the forearm on the affinity. Both are high quality guns. The primary difference was that the M2 recoil spring is in the butt stock whereas the Franchi has the recoil spring located around the mag tube, like most other brands do. The Benelli also has the comfort tech stock or whatever they call it. If you are only using the gun for hunting, 3.5” chamber is fine.

The a300 will shoot softer so it will help for high volume shooting or shooting with heavy loads. I can't think of any advantage for the affinity, but its still a very good gun. I see the affinity as a walk a lot shoot a little gun, and the a300 more as a waterfowl/clay/dove gun. Like.
