Whenever someone invades me, I, for the most part, cheese them mercilessly with but a few simple light stabs from Estoc. It's absolutely insane how much damage it does, in both PvE and PvP, and I've yet to fight anyone else who uses it. Lothric Knight sword is very good. Estoc isn't as good as it used to be bit it's still decent. Pontiff curved sword is really good and doesn't need infusion. It's an absolutely top tier weapon on a quality build. If you know how to keep on your opponent while rollcatching and punish literally everything they do, then yes.

I think rapier has higher dex scaling if I remember right, making it better for dex obviously. Estoc is a bit better of an option for 40/40's and str builds.
