Well, I took the plunge and ordered a LRB receiver James River Armory M14. I happened to be in Baltimore so I called JRA and stopped by before ordering. They were very generous with their time and I learned a lot about the M14. While there is a great deal left for me to learn, I feel great about the purchase. The only magazine that locked into placed without forcing it was the one included with my M14. I bought a few other Check Mate magazines which was the brand included with the rifle and I had to press very hard to have them lock.The M14 is no different..
