(DEI) and Carowinds ended on December 31, 2023. Kings Dominion has also renamed its Intimidator 305 coaster to Project 305. More details are forthcoming.
OT the two Dale Earnhardt themed roller coasters are being renamed. Intimidator at Carowinds will be renamed Thunder Striker while Kings Dominion is now hinting at a new theme for Intimidator 305. It sounds like the license has expired between Cedar Fair and DEI. Project 305. Cedar Fair no longer has IP licensing for two of their Dale Earnhardt themed roller coasters, Intimidator at Carowinds and Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion. All refernces to Intimidator and Dale Earnhardt have been removed. Intimidator at Carowinds is now called Thunder Striker, and the gift shop is now called Earl’s Garage.
