So, I ended up replacing the entire Spool valve with a honda part. FYI I was able to get my local dealer's parts counter to match honda parts online's price + shipping which was roughly an $80-100 savings. 6 hours is a bit of a reach IMO, unless they are also going to remove the rear valve cover and check valve lash on the rear cylinders as well.As part of the debugging and making completely sure not to replace a part that did not need it, I bought a replacement tensioner. Got everything ready for removal, but after removing the alternator bolts, the alternator is freely pivoting on the lower bolt bushings (which I believe were pushed in when the bolt was originally tightened.)
