Mar 9, 2017 · 2011 SRX4 shifting problem. My SRX 4 has a high rpm sound coming from the left front of the engine when driving. I thought at first it was not shifting gears properly, however it does shift and the tach does drop down but the sound does not change. It sounds a if it needs to change into a higher gear.

Here is my situation. The service rear axle light came on. Took it to dealer and they adjusted the fluid levels. Within a week, the axle light came on again, so I took it back to dealer. They did the differential clutch replacement, with the piston kit, filter kit, fluid, lubricant and additive. This was on Friday.
