yes if you can't afford Hyperion as mage ur dead weight. switch to archer w/o Hyperion for less dead weight and some more alive weight but still pretty dead. This is horrible to normalize, Hyperion is literally 600m and that is hard to get for most people. Also Midas staff can still be very effective if used properly.

Btw, mage is really bad f3-f7. In f7, mages are only good if you have a Hyperion and 3/4 storm/full storm + Legendary Sheep. But yes, I would get blue whale for tankiness, get a good sword for healing. But I don't recommend mage for f4-f7.
