When the key is turned it will sometimes just make a clicking noise and other times it just wont do anything. The battery is 2 years old and I had the starter replaced 6 months ago with the same problem and it was fine for 2 months. The problem re occurred ...

You could go through a couple of starting cycles and it would finally start. This was an intermittent issue, most times it would sit over night and have this problem.A few seconds pass and multiple warnings start and a message displays saying vehicle is shutting down, pull over and stop. Once stopped the Durango basically goes none responsive and finally dies and looses all aux power. Dealer replaced Aux Battery & alternator. Dec-2020, Same as above.How many miles on your Durango? You may have an intermittent fuel pump. It's hard to believe there are no codes being stored if it does not start. Have the spark plugs ever been changed? The interval on the oem plugs is 30K. You can run them 50K, but if they are at or over 50K, it's time for a new set. DonFairly often, I push the start button or remote start and the D turns over but doesn't actually start for several seconds. I've noticed this quite a few times since new and can't seem to find a similar reason. It doesn't really matter if it's hot or cold, the tank is full or a quarter, parked flat or on an incline, etc.

But the STALLING! ugh - read on... Simply try the ideal starting procedure (<5 seconds crank), pull a spark plug and check for fuel. If the plug is wet then you have fuel but either no spark or no compression.Keep track of the screws: Remove the screws from the bottom half of the steering column cover and note the length, thread style and location of each screw. They have to go back to the same place. Disengage the plastic snap clips and separate the two halves of the steering column cover. Step 2.Keep in mind, that if the battery has gone dead, been unhooked, replaced, etc. some of the codes may have cleared. Start with the ignition key at the off position. Rotate it from off to run (not start) 3 time within 5 seconds. you'll end up leaving it in run. No problem with the exhaust hitting the underbody. Tried remote start while under the car to no avail. Thought about the sub woofer and removed the 27 and 37 fuses which power the radio and sub woofer to no avail. No check engine light illuminated and no codes stored. Wouldn't start, the engine just turned over, tried to start a couple of times, coughed spluttered then nothing, just turned over..... Check all fuses associated as best I could, no blown fuses, not sure if the relays were all functioning. I disconnected the negative terminals on the battery, left to reset and reconnected, still nothing.

1) Replaced the fuel pump. Did not fix the issue returned to dealer. 2) located a bad ground and relay issue. Did not fix issue. Returned to dealer. I finally was able to determine the conditions. If it has no power then you have to trace back to at least the switch at the column if there isn't a control module in between. Others with service manuals might have more info for you.
