It’s pretty good with high intelligence, but moonveil and deaths poker and generally better for similar builds. It’s the weapon that enabled me to kill the elden beast. I had a shield + hoarfrost stomp sword for the whole game. Radagon and the beast just seemed impossible. That weapon really helpede.

The Ruins Greatsword is a much better choice. I love the design of the Blashpemous Blade but that's one of the only reasons I use it, as well as it's lifesteal ability. That being said if you want to be conservative and like playing defensive, the Blashpemous Blade is a good choice but not the best.
