But, nobody should rely on load data given on a discussion web as gospel. They should go by the loading manual or call the powder manufacturer if an unlisted substitution is considered.Personally I would reccomend using different powders for 12 and 20 *****. International clays will work in 12 gauge and 20 gauge loads. I agree with Bill M. on using two powders. CB 2100-12 wad The 2100 wad is actually a Fed wad and don't know why Hodgdon lists it for use in the AA hulls. I couldn't find the 2100 wads at the store and picked up a bag of CB0178-12 wads (WAA12L replacement)which are actually listed for AA hulls. None of the data from Hodgdon lists this wad but they do show a WAA12SL.It was the powder I started using for 7/8 loads and many used it for 3/4oz loads before extra light came out. It is also listed in Lyman 5th for 1 1/8 oz loads at up to 16.5 grains. The cb 0178 is a perfect fit for 17 grains or thereabouts. I shot many thousands of 7/8 loads with 17.4 grains of e3, gun club hull, win 209, and the cb0178.
