I should have installed new lifters (40,000 miles on bike) just to be sure especially when you get it all apart. I also installed an Energy clutch which much tighter than the stock kit. Zippers 575 or Crane 290-2 or S&S 570 all come to mind so does a Wood TW6. All of these are available in chain drive but if the bike will be racking up miles I would go gear drive. If gear drive is prefered the Wood TW5 could work well too, but may be noisier than the rest. The TW6 is the only "Bolt-in" grind of these.

Very good bolt in for a 96", little undercammed for the 103" but produces great torque in every range and a wonderful cam for touring (with a little racing fun too). Very quiet and well mannered.
